Indoor Target Shooting

LBR ShootingPurbeck Target Sports is part of the Purbeck Gun Club and was founded in 1977 by our chairman Graham Baume. We currently have approximately 20 members from 8 to 80.

Rifles & Pistols
Any style of .22 calibre rimfire and centre fire underlever rifles, carbine rifles, long barrel centre fire or rimfire pistols can be used in the range subject to the ranges power limits
which are displayed on the clubs notice boards.

All types of air rifle and air pistol including CO2 weapons can be used in the range.

Ammunition
You can bring your own ammunition or purchase .22 rimfire, air gun pellets & CO2 cartridges at the club.
We regret that we are unable to supply centrefire ammunition.

Targets
The club supplies paper targets but you are welcome to bring your own paper targets, tin cans etc which can be hung from the 10m and 20
m target mounts.

Metal airgun spinner targets and electric operated turning targets are also available.

Prone ShootingRange Days and Hours
Small-bore rifles and Air Guns on Fridays from 7:30pm to 9:30pm and Sunday afternoons by prior arrangement for club members and FAC holders only.

Facilities
Our shooting range is a 20 meter indoor range which is floodlit. Shooting benches, hearing protection and chairs are provided.

Refreshments are available in the nearby holiday park complex and we have instant tea and coffee free of charge in the range.

Open Days
The club also operates visitor open days throughout the year for visitors to learn how to target shoot with firearms and air weapons. All visitors are fully supervised by qualified range officers during their visit.

Due to legal restrictions, visitors are only able to visit and shoot on these days by invite only so please contact us for further information and an invite.
